Thoughts...

Anything to show up something on my blog!

There go my resolutions. Its now been more than a month since I last resolved to get back to blogging again. Damn, everything in life needs to have discipline. I wish I could have digested this when my grandpa screamed at the top of his voice.

However, I want to keep this blog alive and if I have to, it has to breathe. So here I go again.

Last week has been interesting. Picked up a book that seems to be really good. So far, I have finished 33%. Will let you know when I am done with it in entirety. For the last two Sundays, Swadhaya sessions have got me hooked on. Well, they have always been interesting, its just about me. It always seems to surprise you that the things you most take for granted turn out to be the bang opposite.

In my yesterday's session at Swadhaya, I learnt that Veda, Shastras and Purana are three very different things. They may have references or inheritances, but they are not the same thing. I am still trying to study in what ways are they different and what ways are they common. I shall post it once I am done.

Its Mahashivratri tomorrow, and for the first time, I have tried to understand the meaning behind it. Its one of the favorite days of Lord Shiva and the essence behind it is that a devotee should aspire to become the essence of the word 'Shiv' as he/she gets ready to celebrate the day. One of the meanings, in my limited knowledge, of the word 'Shiv' is 'kalyan'.
